A white, with black trim, 1965 mercury comet. Although it was, in its time, the two door sporty model, it's about 18 feet long, so by today's standards, it is a land yacht. It gets terrible gas mileage. It's cranky and temperamental. But it is engine and secondary systems are so simple even a monkey can make the necessary day to day repairs. It has no electric systems other than the lights and the ignition. AND it has tail fins. Inside, the upholstery is showing wear, there are a few springs shot, and there's a spot on top where the roof is practically worn through. Because of the gas mileage and the temperament, you only drive it when absolutely necessary. But when it's on the road, heads turn...

Mazda RX-8...

A little high maintenance, not the greatest fuel economy.
