I sold my home. I am taking the money and walking the earth like kung fu. What kind of car should I get. Where should I go. What should I do. Who have I become?

It sounds to me like you're looking for something that more spiritual, than materialistic. I agree with lisateric; these questions can only be answered by you. But if you're looking for a place to start, here's my advice.

Start where you are NOW! Don't worry about the car, believe me that will come when it's nessecary. And the experience you're looking for shouldn't be confined by four wheeled transportation. If you need a ride ask for it. Wanna start somewhere you never thought of?? Ask a trucker for a lift and offer to help unload. You'd be surprised how many will say yes.

If I had this chance however, I'd start at a place that means the alot to me. Relive it, and move on. You really have no clue how lucky you are to have this chance.

You haven't become anyone BTW. At the end of your journey, you'll have the answer to that question, right now your at the crossroads of an Idea..what you do with it, and which direction you take will make you you who you are. But you won't find that out until your Journey is over. No matter which direction you take.

Find a pretty decent apartment to your liking. Get a good job, (if you haven't, get some college degrees) get raises, earn high, then look for a girl/guy.

Get married, buy a house, live in it for a year or two, then possibly have kids.
After that, watch them go to college in the fastest 12 years in your life.

Or you could just stick with the house and the job.

I have no idea what you've become, on your other question. A selfish beast who's lost their possessions due to greed..?

Considering the journey you are about to embark on, these questions should be answered by only you.
