Yes; there was actually a movie a few years ago about an Indian girl who wanted to break family tradition and become a soccer player. The movie was called "Bend it Like Beckham," and was rather popular. So he is pretty well known.

It is not your fault for being born in the US. Everywhere else in the world people think that soccer is the greatest sport there is, but you cannot know that. Nevertheless, Beckham is one of the greatest of the greatest sport there is.
Tip. A wonderful British movie you should see: bend it like Beckham. It features a girl of India decent who wants to play soccer, but is not allowed to by her parents. Of course she goes ahead and plays anyway. A good film.

well, he is a super stud at what he does.. but how many people heard of Tiger Woods before he joined th PGA?
Beckham will do a lot for the Sport of Soccer in the US.
Plus he gets like 1.2 million per week for the next 5 years..

umm...YESSS. girls think he is da sexiest guy on da planet. he is regarded as the best spot-kicker in da whole sport of soccer. he is gonna recieve 259million US dollars over the next 5 years of his life from the LA Galaxy. He maried a Spice girl. he has his own movie(and possible more-to-come). he has His own soccer acadamey in carson Californa as well....u will hear even more of hime soon!!!
