Magic a 70's Band?

Looking for the names in a R/R band called Magic from the 70's early 80's I think they are from the Chicago area. Any info will help. The cover of the Album had a space ship on it. No, it was not the group called Space.

I found a band called Magic that recorded an album (also called "Magic") of underground/psychedelic music on the Rare Earth (Detroit) label in the early 1970's, but the cover of the album I saw did not have a spaceship on it. Unfortunately, they are not listed in my Rolling Stone Encyclopedia of Rock & Roll, so I was unable to discover the names of the band members. If you are referring to the song 'Magic', the name of the group is called 'Pilot'. I know and love that song - :)
