alrte i kinda feal embarassed asking this since its been around for god knows how long but is d&d or wutever worth the cost? and how much does it cost? i played warhammer 40k for a while and enjoyed it for about a month then got bored with it. is there any place online were i can play d&d without paying anything just as a download or somthing? any other onfo would be great too thanks

I enjoy it, but I don't know if it's right for you. There are some free starter kits you can try, if you can find them. Or if you find a group you might be able to try it for a while with borrowed books until you decide whether it's worth it for you. Try your local gaming store, they may have a table for beginners to try it out.

You can play D&D as either a roleplaying game or a minis game. The best way is to go down to your Friendly Local Gaming Store. I would suggest trying out www.rpga.com to get started if you don't have a FLGS near you. You can find out all about the game from that site. Good Luck and Good Gaming. BTW I've been playing since 1979.

the books average about 20-25 each, it doesnt' really have mini's like 40k. You really only need the players handbook to be a player. Another good site for playing it online is enworld.org They do play by forum post there.

curiously so. I even have been violated for doing so. {shrug} specific, I even have allegedly responded a question without fairly answering the question as in line with the subjective interpretation of the Yahoo community rules.

plus warhammer, blood bowl, vampire and the whole shebang!
