I dont get the meaning myself why would you want to keep your enemies closer than your friends

your enemies are against you and you wanna know what they are doing before they land you in a deep pit hole anawares, so keeping them closer means you are aware of their plans

I would always keep my Friends closer than my enemies, but if I had any enemies, I sure as hell would keep them close as well, just to be prepared for what they might be up to.

Get acquainted and have some good relationship with your friends but your eyes glued to the plans and moves of your enemies for your safety. It is just like "the friends of my enemies are my enemies and the enemies of my enemies are my friends" which will make your enemies closer..

Cause usually u need to have your enemies do something for u at some point in time mays well try to be on their good side

I love this quote. Well, that's kinda easy to figure out. There is a girl that is drooling over your man, you make friends, play nice, WATCH her, if something is fishy, you make your move.
