It's bad enough that we have to pay so much in taxes, and much of it is spent how THEY want to spend it, not how we want to. Now, they are telling us that we can't gamble online!?! WTF!!!!!!!!! That's my money, I should spend it on whatever I want.
And to tell me what I can and can't watch... oh hell no!
I don't agree with it at all. Bastards! Don't save me from myself.

The "Girls Gone Wild" folks have been sued left and right for a lot of different reasons (especially using footage without permission).

Frankly, I don't want my 7 year old son seeing any of the ads, at any time of day.

Tough break about the gambling though, but there's always Vegas.

I think it's heading in that direction. I just read the article and this guy is a democrat?! well, I guess it's because southern democrats are more socially conservative than us Massachusetts democrats. I don't know what's so obscene about the GGW commercials. They show worse stuff on the 6 o'clock news. I agree with you that there is no end to these politicians legislating morality. They should mind their own business and let people watch what they want to watch.

Yes, the government does not need to be interfering with our lives more than it already is. You know, Madison, the principal author of the Constitution, sought to establish a limited federal government. In arguing for it's ratification he promised, "The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined." A few years later faced with appropriating $15,000 for the relief of French refugees Madison rose to the floor and said this, that he could not "undertake to lay [his] finger on that article in the Federal Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents." I believe we as American people need to rise up and say that we cannot undertake to lay our finger on an article in the Federal Constitution which granted Congress a right to monitor our commercials. Limited government is also one of the reasons this country was founded upon. It is time we stopped letting the government run our lives.

You cannot legislate morality, what should be legislated is all the anal perforations that try to impose their beliefs on the people, Believe what you want, pray to whom you want but don't expect me to follow suit if I dont agree. That is the way it should be, but these legislators dont agree (by the way more often than none they are the ones getting caught with their hands in the cookie jar)

Come on Samurai man. It's some little district in Tennessee, where believe it or not, he is doing his job. He is representing his constituency. I have not even heard of the man (and I rub shoulders with some TN legislators).

And I guess the insanity stems from this crazy belief that divorce rates, fatherless kids, alcohol and drug addictions, and anything goes morality, just might be connected.

Sorry Mr ideaman, there is no way a liberal is behind this. This guy has got to be a conservative democrat. And yeah, its stupid and wrong. For christs sakes, there's much more important things to be concerned about than legislating boobs and nudity, lol. What an anal retentive chump.

But why not some morality? Even if you dont believe in a religion that doesnt approve of that sort of thing, shouldnt a country have some standards?
