Ok, so there's a girl in one of my classes who kept glancing at me on the first day. I sat in the row behind her and I just kept seeing in the corner of my eye that she occasionally looked back at me. I locked eyes with her once, and was kind of intrigued from then on. My problem is, now we kinda sit a few rows away from each other, but still in the same area. She sits with this guy, probably a friend, and I sit with a guy friend also. How should I meet her without seeming stalker-ish? Also I'm not out yet so I can't say anything to my friend who I sit with. Yesterday I sat in the row in front of her, and again I could see in the corner of my eye that she would glance at me every once in a while. I dunno, there might be something there. How should I meet her? I'd prefer if other girls answer if you've been in this situation. Thanks!

When you're sitting near (next to, in front of, or behind) her, try to listen in on what she's talking about with her guy friend. Be subtle or else it will seem very stalker-ish and creepy. It will give you have an idea of what she's interested in. Maybe they'll talk about an upcoming party or other event that she'll be attending and you can show up there. Then you can say, "aren't you in my class?"

Your best bet is to sit next to her one day. Even if she sits with a guy friend that means that there's another open seat on the other side. Then you can try the old standby ice breaker technique to get her attention - drop a pencil or something and ask her to pass it back to you. Give a nice smile when you say "thank you" then follow it up with a compliment. "I love your ______ (shoes, watch, book bag, hairdo, whatever). Where did you get it?" Or you could pretend to have a 'blonde' moment - forget to bring a writing utensil or paper. Then ask her if you can borrow whatever you forgot. At some point during the class have a covert conversation with the guy that you usually sit with. Then turn to the girl and say that you missed what the teacher was saying and ask her to fill you in.

Just to play devil's advocate - are you sure she's glancing at you and not your guy friend? If you are primarily looking at her out of the corner of your eye, it might be difficult to tell. Nothing beats making eye contact and smiling. It's sort of like laying out the welcome mat without actually opening the door.

Alright, you should try talking to her. Something along the lines of "Hi. I've been wanting to talk to you for a while. You seem interesting, I wanna be friends." Do it that way. Seriously. It might sound stupid... but people can and do appreciate blunt honesty. If you're too shy to talk to her, try a note, something simple. Don't go gushing undying love right off the bat, you'll just freak her out... but you knew that. After that... well... you'll need to find out if she's into other girls.

I just went through a similar situation myself. Fresh out of the closet, and school too... so I know what you mean. anyway. If you want more insight feel free to e-mail anytime.

Tell him how you feel. It doesn't matter if he's a senior and voted most popular, if he cares for you then he cares for you and nothing else should matter. If he doesn't like you, then move on with your life. Don't feel down just because one guy says no to you. You can never truly know how someone feels about you until you ask them, so just ask.

Say something like " hi, how is it going. Did you so happen to get the ..... problem that the teacher gave us yesterday?" Then go from there. Also talk about a t.v. show that was on. That should get you going. Good luck.

well you do have a class with her, maybe if the teacher ever says get a partner to work with or a group of people to work with you can go pick her for your partner or you can just go up and introduce yourself to her, find her on myspace.com maybe everyone is on there.
