Many people regret their choice of career, often made at a young age based on misguided academic choices at college. Assuming you have average academic ability (no astronauts or brain surgeons please!), you have 50k, and the time and ability to retrain in any career, with future financial investment in mind (no passionate struggling artists either!), what would you invest your time and money into learning?

Its important to invest your effort into developing a career that is in high demand and cannot be outsourced. One of the best is nursing, especially as the population ages.

Computer programming would probably be one of the worst due to outsourcing and instability in the industry.
