it's spelled "obama" btw
i don't know that we "need" a black president....

ayway, i'll vote for obama, joe biden, john edwards or gen. wesley clark. obama is a very appealing candidate.

i love how conservatives incl. dick cheney decry the chance obama hs because of a lack of experience. did years and years of experience help cheney to become a decent & productive leader? i think not. so that argument is insane. this country desperately needs something fresh, different and more promising than the rut we've been in with the reagan administration to the nutty bush famly. too many years of his crap.

I will probably vote for him if I like what he says while he is running, if he doesn't do negative commercials, if, if, if....Hell, it's two years away; how do I know who I'll vote for??? (He doesn't have the "nomination" anyway)

And what is that second part of your questions supposed to mean? I think we need a GOOD president--and I don't care if he's pink with orange polka dots! Are Black people different than white people?

Do we need a Black President? Do we need to define our voting based on race, gender, sexual orientation or physical capabilities? True in some opposing sense I suppose we have.

Will I vote for him? Highly unlikely. I did vote Democrat during college...my 1st time to vote (McGovern) as the Vietnam War was still on and my draft number was 14. Since that time...a little older and I hope smarter, I have voted Republican. I anticipate that I will continue that trend unless Mr. Obama presents convincing insight to change my opinion...and vote.

conservatives need to take off that stars and stripes blindfold. i would vote for him, but im not old enough. he's a good man, race shouldn't matter but it will. there will be people that will say all kinds of things about him, the same people who said MLK was an evil hypocrite.

Need? I don't understand that part of your question.
Just a thought ---- Maybe you could spell his name correctly?

As for voting for Mr Obama , I would have to know more on his views. politcal background and vision for the future of America before making an informed decision..

I don't think it's a matter of race. I think we need a President who can pick up the pieces and put our country back together.

The fact that he is a mulatto and not black or white doesn't interest me. It is the fact that he has nothing in his resume to qualify him for the most important job in the country that does interest me. Too early to say who will get my vote, but it sure won't be Hillery from hell.

I'm not going to vote for him just because he is black any more than I would vote for someone else just because they were white. I don't think our 'needs' are for any race over another.

I will vote against him because he is a globalist, assuming someone else, not a globalist, is running.

i have no idea if i would vote for him. got nothing to do with being black, got lots to do with I don't know his stand on too many things.

he did do something the other day i liked, but now i can't remember what it was. LOL

unfortunately, i suspect that his ideals and mine aren't too close. (i'm not a socialist.)

He isn't experienced enough yet. He should serve a few terms in the Senate first, then run.
