Osama (CNN Version) and the liberals know that when we elect a black person or woman as President of America,
WE WILL HAVE REACHED THE ZENITH OF OUR POWER! Thus, Osama (CNN Version) wasted no time in signing for his presidential bid.
Remember, most liberals and democrats do not like America and its so-called capitalist system, though they enjoy the immense benefits of it, that goes for most if not all you liberals here. Your free welfare checks will stop cumming.
Be careful what you wish for. Hehehehehe!

It's not whether or not America can "pull together to take a step forward in equality for all humanity and make a new name for this country", the question is more like "will America elect a man with no record to speak of, whose main contributions to this country have been books and pretty speeches?". Is he a great guy? He certainly seems to be. I don't agree with his politics, but I don't see him winning unless he suddenly gets a real record in the next two years.

He seems like a genuinely good man. But I honestly hope that he doesn't screw up his political career by running for president in 2008. It's too soon and he doesn't have enough experience. Also, he would be better off running as an independent. While not quite the national embarrassment that the Republicans have become, the Dems have pretty much devolved down into a circus sideshow act. Any serious candidate with the people's best interest at heart would be better off on his/her own. Obama needs more experience under his belt and a stronger base of financial supporters.

I think Cliff on the show Cheers was asked the following question after a particularly obtuse remark: "What color is the sky in your world Cliff?
I would pose a similar question to you.
Yes B.O. could be the next POTUS, but he will not be. In addition, your actual question begins, "Can america pull together..." (sic) The lawyers, politicians, and news media will never allow America or Americans to be anything except divided and at odds with each other. The reason, they all make money off the divisiveness AND obtain huge amounts of power from it. What is more telling is that they create most of the divisions experienced by Americans by lying.

As cool as the idea sounds, I don't think White America is ready for a black president. I would have to hear more of his views on issues like Iraq, foreign policy, taxes, immigration, welfare, abortion and etc before I would vote for him. I'm not a racist but more a realist. Even though white folks, especially males, are saying yes" I'll vote for a black guy to be President", I think that when the time comes to pull the lever or push the button, all the negative illusionary images of a black guy in the "white" house will convince them that "white is right".

I think it would be a great step for our nation not because he happens to be black, but because he has a good head on his shoulders. Every time I have heard him speak, he is forthcoming, matter of fact, and honest. He is a family man with a genuine interest in steering this country in a more positive direction. I heard today he filed papers to legally began accepting funds for running for President. He hasn't officially announced yet, but this is a step in that direction. Now, who would be his running mate? Hillary should be. Put them together instead of apart and you have a team that would be unstoppable. IMO. Some people think HC should run separately, but I think America is ready for a female VP and later for a possible Presidential Nominee. One step at a time. Presidential hopeful Obama has my vote already.

It depends entirely what you mean by that. If you are asking whether or not Barack could be a President and a successful one at that, then the answer is most definetely yes. However, if you are asking whether or not he is electable, I suppose we'll find out in 2008... If Barack could attract the African-American vote then he could potentially offset the racists who would not vote for him simply because he is black. Barack attracts both liberals and conservatives and I think after this administration the US is ready for radical change, but I'm not sure if the US is ready for a radical change in race relations....

He's charismatic, he's brilliant (a Harvard Grad), and he's a media darling. He has a legitimate chance. His opponent for the Democratic ticket are going to be Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, and Joe Biden. Obama's experience is not much less than Clinton and Edwards. Biden, of course, is the most experienced out of the four.

I don't know enough about Mr. Obama yet to decide now, but he sure knows how to wow a crowd by telling them things they like to hear, which is the mark of a masterful politician. If he's honest and works for average Americans, and puts America first instead of some goofy New World Order, sure I'd vote for him!

Barack Obama is a good man. I'll support him. There are a lot of good candidates in America on both sides of the isle. How the last election came down to Bush and Kerry is beyond me.
Let's just do our best to avoid electing another retard like Bush.
