It's possible, but he's got a tough uphill battle to win nomination in his own party. If Hillary runs, then he'll have to contend with the large political muscle that her and Bill Clinton wield. John Edwards has the well-spoken, good-looking guy image going for him as well, (plus he's white). However, Hillary does have Bill's Lewinsky's smell around her as well as her support for the Iraq war. John may get tied again to John Kerry who's been slipping in popularity over the last six months. If Barack Obama were to run and win, he would be good President but only if he is committed (i.e. his marriage and parenthood could suffer).

Even though the US Presidency is argubly the most important political position in th world, the President does not have to have a wealth of experience that allows him (and maybe one day her) to govern an entire country. He has a Cabinet as well as other high ranking supporters aiding him in his decision process. I am always amazed that when people talk about Barack Obama, his "lack of experience" is seen as a negative. To be President, one only needs to be intelligent, thoughtful, decisive and committed. If I am a manager for Apple looking for someone to program the new I-Pod/Cell phone, I would want to hire someone with experience. But politics is open enough to have a President who is a peanut farmer, an actor, a lawyer, or a businessman .

I believe that there are a number of issues that will act to prevent this:

First, I think that there are some things in his past business dealings that will cause the Democratic Party not to nominate him.

Second, I think that even if there were no questions about his personal integrity, the Democratic Party will not nominate him, they will nominate the person who has the best chances of winning.

Third, I don't believe America, as much as it pains me to say this, is ready for an African-American President.

Fourth, I don't believe that Barack Obama has sufficient experience in politics to be President, which will act as a bar to his nomination and election.

He will have a much better shot at The White House in another four to eight years.

Wait a minute.....you advise this dream speech of Martin Luther King Jr? "I actually have a dream that my 4 little little ones will sooner or later stay in a country the place they gained't be judged by using the colour of their dermis yet by using the content cloth of their character." Oh sorry. No i think of Obama is purely being authorised to run to furnish the phantasm that Hillary has a competitor.

Would you really vote for him just because he's a brother? Obama the Brother. Wow! Everyone keeps talking about his integraty, but we haven't seen enough of him to know what he is really like. I don't think the country is quite ready for him and he sure isn't ready for us. All he will do is split up the Democratic party, but that's OK with me. I haven't seen anything very great about the last few Democratic presidents. Let's not even talk about Hillary the Harpy.

Who knows. Unfortunately for him his appeal is peaking now before the true start of the election season. Typically early front runners fall because people have a lot of time to dig up dirt and bury them. Clinton came out of no where at the last minute to take the democratic nomination before he was elected president.
Time will tell.

oh no!!! please dont say thats true!!! well i hope he announces his running for the democratic nomination because the dems. will get into a world wind and not know what to do about Obama and Hilary. It will be hilarious, no pun intended. he will just mess up the dems plans and screw everyone over in the party. he doesnt have any experience anyways, not to mention hes a senator, senators are hardly ever elected as presidentst because of them never having run a something such as a state, let alone a country (i.e. a governor instead)

No, for he lacks experience. The best he can do is get a few more under the belt and run at the next election

Osama (CNN Version) and the liberals know that when we elect a black person or woman as President of America,

AMERICA WILL HAVE REACHED THE ZENITH OF OUR POWER! Thus, Osama (CNN Version) wasted no time in signing for his presidential bid!

It must be remembered, most liberals and demorats do not like America and its so-called capitalist system, though they enjoy the immense benefits of it.

Barack Obama - at least get the future president's name right if it happens, and anything can happen.
