It has to be limited to a simple action such as how many people are talking on a phone while walking through a certain door, or how many people look at a bus driver on a route (cant use those examples though unfortunately)...I need to observe for at least 3 hours so it can't be a place that would limit my time. I was thinking something at the mall would be easiest because there are always a lot of people and I could be there for as long as neccessary, but I can't think of what I should observe...

A big one I observe for no particular reason at all is how many mothers (who have their child with them) act as if they are enjoying the company of the child versus how many act as if the child is annoying excess baggage.

I've noticed the first type of mothers are in shockingly low numbers.

Go to a mall and look for people who have just checked their watch, then ask them the time, and see how many have to look again.

The answer is all of them, because when you check for yourself, your thinking "how much time do I have" and the actual time doesn't register with them.

You a member of any sports teams or clubs? plenty of opportunity there. Do you have a part time job, or know other people in employment that you could observe? manager/member of staff could work well.
