Owning or buying a fake is not against the law. Selling a fake is against the law and law is seldomly enforced, let me rephrase that, so seldomly enforced, eclipses of the Sun happen more often. The police have better things to do.
What can happen is that companies can sue people selling or making fake brand names. Good luck with that too. The chances of being sued are so close to zero they might as well be zero.

lol...you can only get in trouble if it as marketed as a true chanel product. like if someone said here this is chanel and then it really wasnt. if you found a product that is a chanel look a like but it called something else then no you cant get sued or in trouble. like here is a faded glory that looks exactly like a chanel....

tell ur friend to not show off about it. if they don't say anything and are keeping the purses for themselves, then they'll be fine. but if they try to sell the fake purses and the police finds out then they're definintly going to be sued. warn them!

No, you wouldn't get in trouble for carrying one. If they found out who made them, and or sold them, /they/ might get fined. But there are far too many women out there carrying fakes for the designers to sue them all.

You may find yourself in civil and criminal trouble if you sell fake handbags, but I doubt you could get sued for carrying one.

It is illegal to sell those purses. Its not illegal to buy them, you can have them. Doesn't make too much sense, huh? Good ol' America!
