Books are not going to help you dance, but they will motivate you if you need it.

My reccomendation is that you check with your local community college, there is almost always a dancing class.
If you really want to dance you can always go to a local salsa club, latin guys for the most part are expert in the dancing field and seeking for a girl to teach to do what they know best.

Well, here is a website that is everything dance-related in terms of "gear" : www.discountdance.com
They have a large selection of dance videos, DVDs, CDs, and books; and equipment to help you with your flexibility, strength, etc. not to mention a wide variety of leotards, skirts, costumes, and accessories. I have gotten many products from this company and have always been satisfied.

Conventions and workshops are always going on, just Google "dance conventions in ___" and you should come up with a pretty good spread.
