Good question......you've been most prolific this week, qtg!
I like "California Dreamin" by the Mamas and Papas and "You Were Always on My Mind" by Elvis, Willie Nelson did it too.
I like a lot of the grittier sounds of the 60's.....Little Richard, James Brown, etc
Also like The Doors and Roy Orbison
Wasn't a fan of the sugary stuff

I used to sway and swoon to "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" by _____. (The Diamonds?)
I, too, listened to my parents' music, so I grew up with Patti Page, Rosemary Clooney, Perry Como, Nat King Cole, etc. As the years go by, I appreciate that I enjoy music from 3 or 4 generations. From Tommy Dorsey to 50 Cent, I'm way cool. Teeheehee...

There's alot more than just one song. But the Stones made alot of good ones. So did the Beatles. But one of my favorites is "All Along the Watchtower", originally done by Dylan but remade by Jimi Hendrix.
