Of course it's real. Real what is a matter of opinion though.
Just like a woman's hair extensions are real... real extensions.
Just like a porn star's breasts are real... real silicon.
You get the idea....

No it isn't.All the matches are predetermined, and the storylines are scripted.But the only thing real in wrestling is the pain from being constantly slammed on the ma.
To me, I think it's an insult calling wrestling fake.It's an insult to the wrestlers who put their body and well-being on the line ,spend 200 plus days a year without seeing their families, to entertain the fans.

the character storylines are staged and the matches are booked. But as part of the story you have to sell both your own moves and your opponenents moves, and that requieres REAL wrestling skills. So yeah. the wrestling part is real. you can tell by the damage, by the blood. And for all you people that think that wrestling is not real, search for Mick Foley matches. (Mankind vs Undertaker, Hell in the cell. Can you fake THAT match?? :P )

High School, College, Olympics, WWE, TNA, and any other company out there are real. The difference between what you see on TV like WWE is that the outcome of the matches have been predetermined. Some of the punches and kicks are made to look like they are real, but they are not. Wrestlers are an investment and you cant make money if they are injured.

Yes, it is real, the only thing that's not real is the storyline, which is designed to keep THE FANS watching, which i think it does a pretty good job of, hey guys, if it's not real, tell me how Shawn Michaels broke his back, how did Triple H tear his quad. tendon completly off the bone, why are so many superstars addicted to pain pills because they are in constant pain? Why was stone cold steve austin forced to retire because of the piledriver he took from owen hart a decade ago? WE are the ones going out there and killing ourselves, jumping off of ladders, getting hit by chairs, being thrown onto thumbtacks to entertain YOU, and when you say that wrestling is fake, your not only showing how incredibly ignorant you are, but you are disrepecting every professional wrestler on this planet and i defy you to say that kind of crap to the Undertaker.

No,well not 4 the most part.The blood is real,though.They keep tiny razor blades inside the wrapping they wrap their hands with.Ever seen them put their hands over their head once they have been"hit"and blood starts pouring....they just cut theirselves w/ the razor blades!!Accidents DO happen,though.Like what happened to Mercury.....Real,but what happened to MVP.....Fake!!!They do get hurt but not to where they will have to go to the hospital!Stunts r real but dont hurt the opponent.....much.They have been wrestling 4 years and r indeed pro wrestlers.They r tough,too.They train and work out,they dont use steroids.They also train to take the pain if something goes wrong.Well plz pick me 4 best answer,thanx!!!:}}

Yes. Wrestling is real.
That crap on tv ain't wrestling! It's fake, phony, a joke and a waste of time, money and brain power....oh yeah, if you watch that stuff, (and take it seriously) you don't have a brain!

Is theatre real?
For both, I guess it's all what you make of it. If you believe what you see on a stage, in a ring, and George W. Bush "answering" questions on Fox News as real and legitimate, wellllllllll.......
still, it's all very entertaining, depending on your taste!

Fake as in they don't really punch each other, but real in the fact that they really do get hurt and wind up old way beyond their years.

If the actions you watched were real, then every wrestler would have been dead or seriously injured by now. Including the refs.
