Does anyone remember this series? it had Kathleen Turner, Michael Douglas, and Danny Devito both times working for and against each other for riches and adventure.
I was just watching the two and was thinking.. wouldnt it be cool to bring them back together again?
a new Romancing the Stone sequel.
last time they were together was a non Romancing movie called "War of the Roses" which was about divorce.
but i think a modern Jack (whatevr his last name was) would be cool

Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner are a little too geriatric for the physicality of those roles now.

Excellent idea. I would definitely go to see that. When I was young my mum got me the video of Romancing the Stone from the video and shop and i put it on. After about 1/2 hour I went through to my mum and said it was great - I had watched it 5 times. My mum was confused until she realized I had watched the bit at the start where she is reading her book out and i thought that was it. lol. I was only young so I think it can be excused. I then went on to watch the entire film, loving every minute of it and watching the whole film over and over again. All 3 films are good. Why can't they make films like that anymore? Not too much sex, violence or swearing - just great family adventure!

Romancing the Stone is one of my all-time favorite romance action films. Turner and Douglas had great chemistry but they are too old now. A modern Jack T. Colton and Joan Wilder would be fun. I'm not sure who is talented enough in the younger actor category to pull of the roles though. No one really jumps out at me.

Two of my favorite movies! That would be awesome to see them back together(why not?they are doing comebacks for everyone else, right?).However, the last few times I saw Kathleen, she didn't look so hot.

I love those movies. My husband bought me the box set a couple of months ago. I like the first one best. They should do a third one and let it take place now and see how their lives have been since we last saw them.

I say they could do it. And my wife and I would have a GREAT time renting all three and watching them either all in one lazy day, or in one weekend. We've been iced-in for the past two days, and it would have been perfect.
..... I grew up near Chicago, we got iced -in every now and then. Never thought I'd say that while living in San Antonio though...

That'd be great, but not great for the bank.
I don't think it would make enough money :(
