A friend had a baby a month ago and the baby will sleep fine when laying on either mom or dad, but as soon as they try to move him into his crib and move him off of their chest, he wakes up and cries. I have heard of a teddy bear that memicks mother's heartbeat or womb sounds. Has anyone had success with this? Is there a reasonably priced one you recommend? Thanks!

We got a blanket that had a heartbeat thing in it. I have no clue where it came from or how much it cost. Try searching for "heartbeat blankets" or "heartbeat teddy bears." Good Luck!

I had a similar problem with my last baby. Someone had given me one of those teddy bears at my babyshower. I decided to try it out when I was having difficulty getting her to sleep. It worked very well ~slowly I started to take it away so she would sleep through the night without it. Mine was the womb sounds and unfortunately I don't know how much it costs but I do know they had purchased it at a Wal Mart.

I bought this thing at target by munchkin that does the same thing, it is not a teddy bear, though, it just hookd onto the crib. It is voice activates and has lights that go off as well as the heart beat. It was only $10 if you want to try it instead.

I am due to have my first baby in march, and although I havent used the womb bear yet, ive heard great things about them and I plan on buying one for my baby before she is born. They have them at walmart for around $15. Other people i know, use them, and love them!

Havent heard of it. I have heard of people putting clocks(the ticking kind) into babies rooms though for the same reason.

Yes, we were given one and our baby definitely slept better because of it. Worth buying.
