The season of lonliness and longing for a guy(which I am very unlucky when it comes to guys and no I never pursue them) is January through March.

How to over come this?

Just live life to it's fulliest, don't worry so much about guys. The sad thing I am a guy, and when I was single all I worried about was why haven't I meet someone good. But when I started working out feeling good about myself and enjoying my friends, I oneday meet the right person. Just enjoy your time alone, it's the best thing god has given you.

Well, that's a tough one. I can see why these months can be tough...right after the holidays, Valentine's Day, and cold nights...

I >Hated< being single, and I'm glad to have found my dream lady.

I've felt the lonliness pain ALL YEAR LONG from around 16 until I found her. I sucked at dating because I was no good at the games and lies. In the end, I was glad I kept to being down to earth because when I found her, it all worked out well.

My tip: GET INVOLVED in various activities that may bring you in touch with guys that share your interests: School for studious guys, sporty activities for outdoor types, church if your into that. AVOID night clubs if you want a LTR. Yes, you may find a nice guy there, but I would not put any money on that bet.

Good luck...

I understand what your going through. All I can say is don't look at it as loneliness and be happy about your independent, good looking, smart and single, that sounds fun. Don't chase them.

It's funny thing because when I wasn't interested in guys, there were a lot of guys that had a crush on me or came up to me. But now that I am looking for Mr. Right, nobody come across my way and I'm unlucky.

Keeping busy is the key. Do not permit yourself the time to feel bad or unhappy. This is a dank time of the year, in the dead of a cold Winter some places, others its just cloudy and damp.

Stay positive, think ahead to Summer.

In my opinion, any time of depression or stress whether it be loneliness or whatever can be reduced by exercising, a healthy diet (especially water), and it sounds stupid but watching television and movies is a great way to take your mind off of your loneliness. Of course if it were ever to get to a suicidal point you need to see a counselor right away. good luck to you!

it seems to me that it is the perfect time for you to examine your situation and try to get over that thinking that you need a guy.
Yep. Its when you are down that you have to learn to pick yourself up.
