My doctor has just changed my RX from synthroid to Armour thyroid. I am worried about gaining more weight and whatever else will adjust to the new meds Any advice

From most of the women I know who switched from Synthroid to Armour, they actually were able to lose weight easier on the Armour. One word of advice. The TSH test is to adjust the dosage of Synthroid. It is not a good test to adjust the dose of Armour. You want to make sure your doctor runs a Free T4 an Free T3. You want these free levels to be above midrange.

I've been on Armour 3 years and it has helped so much. I would never get off this med.

The only reason you doctor should have switched your medication is if the synthroid was not working. So you should look forward to getting better, not worse. If your medication was switched for some other reason, you need a new doctor.

i have thyroid too
everything you do effects it.
if u eat healthy and exercise, the pills shouldnt be a problem
