Mark Mcguire will make it to the hall of fame next year. He hit a lot of homeruns in his career and it was not bad to do roids when he was playing. I really hope he makes it to the hall of fame.

I'm from saint louis and this has been a big question all over town. Now Mark Mcguire stats are hall of fame worthy. If you forget the steriod scandel and look at him as a player he definitly deserves in....But now the big thing is the steriods.....during his interview he said what is the absolute truth....If i say i didn't take it you'll think im lying....if i said i did you banish me from the record books and call me a cheat......He never admitted anything or been proven to have done anyhting.....where all just basing what he did from another player who did steriods and said it in his book.....Personaly i do think he should get in because he was an amazing athlete and what he did accomplish deserves recognition.....but if he did do steriods then i say take his name from all books...But we should lay off him till we find the truth and let him in.

i think of there is too lots controversy surrounding him a minimum of on the 2d. I particularly have study some articles written by using activities journalists (the adult males who vote interior the gamers) and that all of them suggested that there is not any way they're going to vote for him, and if Palmeiro became eligible this year, they might not vote for him the two. for my section, i do no longer think of he merits to circulate into the hall of recognition. There are gamers interior the MLB who can hit dwelling house runs (Ryan Howard, for occasion), and are not questioned approximately steroids. there is way too lots controversy around McGuire and Bonds, or maybe in spite of if that's ever proved that neither of them used steroids (which i do no longer think of will ensue), I nonetheless don't understand in the event that they are going to be indicted. activities journalists oftentimes seem to have their heads on at the instant, and vote in gamers for no longer purely statistics, yet personalities and their traits as a guy or woman besides.

He will never be elected into the Hall for the simple fact that writers never forget. eventually he will not get enough votes to stay on the ballot. He is a marginal Hall of famer at best anyway. He never really hit for a high average and he was not a great defensive first baseman.

Cheaters never prosper. Sad thing is, he probably would have been a first ballot Hall of Famer if he had stayed away from steroids. If he does make it into the HoF, it's going to say ALOT about the type of society that we have become, where we value dishonesty and unfair advantages. Give me the days of baseball being a "Gentlemen's Sport" anyday...

He has fourteen years to try and get in....so probably. I'm not sure we will ever know who all did what as far as drugs in MLB. I still think their were pitchers along with several other position players using them. We are living in different times now with alot more advances in medical technology. The old timers can say what they will but players from past generation's would have used them also if they had been available and they could have made a significant difference in salaries. Put him and the others in with an * if you like, but put them in.

I don't think so, because he even admitted to taking steroids, and although they were legal at the time, I don't think the voters will support him. I do think, however, that he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, because he used them only to recover from an injury, and not to hit home runs.

He will never make it to the Hall-of-Fame----maybe the Hall-of-Shame!!! He doesn't have the stats to make it to the Hall. Life time batting average---258---No golden glove awards----he had very few stolen bases considering the time he played in the majors-----and he struck-out as much as anyone that played the game. He just doesn't qualify----you don't get in just for hitting home runs!!!!

nope.
he screwed the pooch by being weird and evasive when seated before the grand jury a couple of years or so ago. (what was ever the point ofthat pomp & circumstance anyway? pointless) he could have been a little forthcoming w/out being too specific but he looked like a fool instead.

if i had a vote i personally would never waste it on him, sosa, palmiero, or particularly bonds. but canseco might be considered because at least he wasn't so evasive and at the time hewasn't breaking specific MLB mandates.
