Well, like any show, would people really watch it if the characters were ugly? I mean, I don't agree with the thing that cute guys can just ask, because most rapists do it because they like the power, or as an anger issue so that a willing partner just doesn't "do it" for them.... So, cute guys can be rapists too. But I have noticed that in the news they usually turn out to be pretty gross... So, whatever.
Ratings... It's all about ratings.

Yeah I watch that show every Tuesday and you are right!! I mean come on why would those hotties need to rape anyone all they have to do is ask LOL!!! Should have more ugly people as the rapist, be more believable!!!
