PEACH GIRL ! Omg I just recently watched the series over last week and wow. I would just give you a wikipedia link but they dont really give good summaries, after I watched the series I read one of them and they werent that good. Peach Girl is about this 10th grader (though through the story she becomes an 11th grader) and is practically in Love with a guy named Touji. Shes liked him since middle school but shes afraid that he doesnt like her because of her tanned skin. Note: she was on the swim team. But in truth he does like her. Meanwhile during school Adachi has this "friend" named Sae Kashiwagi who likes to go begind Adachi's back and cause major rumors and ****, while making Momo-chan (Adachi) look like the bad person. Soon the whole class is against Momo-chan and believes her to be a slut, and Touji doesnt want to see her. In all this commotion Adachi also meets Kairi Okayasu, who falls in love with her.
Its Shoujo. and I'll include a link to watch the first episode and some links on the main characters.

Full Metal Panic. It has more action and drama and comedy than romance but it does take place in high school and it a great anime to watch.

Host Club- an anime about a group of hosts who happens to meet an interesting character on the first day of school.
Peach Girl- defitely shoujo and you will love the story

It is set around a high school , tragedy , romance, adventure.
If you are soft of heart episodes 9, 10 will get to you.

Fruits Basket! :D There's plenty of romance and drama, also some comedy! It can get a tad depressing at times though, fyi.

Mahoromatic ^_^! It even has action and suspense as well. It's about a boy who has lost his parents in a war, and a female android who was in the war is now about to go offline and she decides to be a maid for the boy. His teacher is in love with him, he loves Mahoro, and she loves him. It's a really cute little series.
