Leviathan is just a synonym for gigantic; often made in reference to supernatural or mythical creatures. The koi is a japanese cross-bred fish related to goldfish, so I would have to say koi. The "wen" on fancy goldfish is not a brain, it's just a growth of skin. But, otherwise, all fish have their brains on the tops of their heads. In fact, I think every living thing has their brain on the top of their head. Don't know where else it would go.

Actually the different goldfish and Koi were bred from the common carp in Japan. I am not sure if there is a leviathan fish. The word Leviathan was talked about in the Bible but must of what it called a Leviathan are just fantasy.

sorry I can't help, the description sounds like an Oranda or Lion-Head both are types of goldfish. Similair to a goldfish would be a koi, also japanese. Other then that it would be a type of carp, "shark", barb or danio. They are all in the same family as goldfish. But I can't find a single one with a "brain" on the top of its head.

I can only say oranda or lion head, but both are goldfish.

I've searched the internet and two volumes of Aquarium Atlas, and I can't find leviathan as the common name of any fish, sorry. The Aquarium Atlas is like the fish bible... It might only be a common name in your area. Sorry

Koi?
Oranda?

Oranda have the funny bubbly 'brain' like thing on top of their heads. Koi just look like regular goldfish.
