I'm in college and taking a course called Projects 3in1. For each project that I do, I need to incorportate math, communications, and computers. I can do the project on any topic, and do anything that I wanted to do. It's tough having such a wide range to choose from. My previous project was Career exploration:compare and contrast between two environmental field careers, quite boring to do, but I got a 90%. I want to do something fun. I really want to create a mirror with colored glass around the edges. Something similar to the link I provided. I'm just wondering if it's too highschoolish? I have to pass in the project proposal to my instructor tomorrow. I'm just wondering if this is a stupid idea for a project, or should I do something else? I'd appreciate it if you could give me some ideas for a project. Thanks.

Your idea sounds good. I don't know how much time you have but here are a few other ideas:

1.) build a see saw for an elementary school with class participation designing on a computer and the building "crew" communicating the process....

2.) Design a tee shirt logo on the computer for an imaginary rock group (keeping in mind size, color, images); you could survey a group with samples finding out which design "communicates" what the company is about; determine the cost of printing 1,000 tee shirts to sell at a concert; actually make a few using tee shirt computer paper and your computer.....

3.) Pretend you are a travel agent and plan a week getaway to a faraway country for you and your class finding the most economical way to travel, stay and places to eat at and things to see and do; develop an itinerary for what you will do each day; determine the cost per person. Don't forget about airfare!!

Bring brochures to class, postcards, and interesting history of the culture, food and people and sell it to your teacher and class in your presentation. Maybe even dress accordingly... At the end ask "Are there any takers?" or "Who wants to sign up today?" Could be really fun and who knows, perhaps the class will want to go!!

Good Luck!
