We are a causian lesbian couple, expecting to have a baby boy any day now. We are struggeling with naming him. We'd like to hyphanate our last names and thinking of the first name of Dante or Jason. So, his name would be either Dante Kanterezhi-Gatto or Jason Kanterezhi-Gatto. What do you think, which one sound better?

Since Kanterezhi-Gatto is already a unique last name, I'd couple it with a fairly ordinary first name, so that means Jason. Also, if you were to name him Dante, there would be no end to the teasing about Dante's Inferno. I don't think your kid would like to be known as the kid from Hell.

I like both personally, but I think Dante would be the better choice...its not as common as Jason.

Well you should probably name him Jason. This is because Dante reminds me of Dante Allegheri, who wrote Inferno. In the Inferno, one of the levels of hell is designated for homosexuals. Of course, they may have only meant male homosexuals? In any case, it would go against the spirit of Dante's Inferno. Personally I disagree with placing homosexuals in hell, but I have to admit that the Inferno was one of the best damn epic poems ever!
So anyway, you should probably name him Jason.
