I bought a dell labtop o of ebay a couple of years ago.The computer says it needs to upload the window's product key.
can someone tell me where I can fint it? I don't have a cd.

go to this website http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html download belarc run it from your computer ...it will tell you the cd keys of all your software and the key for your windows XP machine ::D

Check the bottom of the laptop, they often have a sticker with the product key on there, every laptop I've ever had has had one.

I am sorry my friend but you must have the original product key. Microsoft has gotten to smart for this. Simply put you were had because the seller did not pass the product key on to you when they should have. Microsoft has made this very painful. Sorry

i know most laptops have a sticker on the bottom that have the windows product key on it. you could start by looking there.

the product key is the number after the words "PRODUCT KEY" on the windows sticker on the underside of the laptop.

my Sony laptop has a windows sticker on the bottom of the computer with this code on it.

Flip your laptop over and you should see a windows XP security seal...there you'd see a code consisting of numbers and letters.

try looking on the bottom of your laptop for a sticker, it has it on it. try belarc.com if that doesnt work. good luck!

You S.O.L. it's on the CD...the CD cover normally has the product key on it.
