I'm attracted to darker women, so when I get married it will probably be a black or hispanic female.
The problem is that I'm white, but my family are Italians.

This world is really weird and twisted, because Blacks generally like Italians, but Italians don't like them. Whites like Blacks, but Blacks don't like Whites. Italians like Whites, but Whites don't like Italians. Generally speaking...
What should I do? My black girlfriends all want me to take them to Italy, but I've been told that if I take a black girl with me to Italy, people there will think she's my prostitute.

Tough call. After spending three years in Italy I can tell you that it won't be without incident if you take her there. Problem is that they still practice human trafficking in Italy. Most of the people that are being exploited are from Nigeria and other very poor countries. In their defense, the Italians are very good about distinguishing between indentured servants and American tourists/military people. I'm sure you will get some cat calls and heckling, but the non-confrontational nature of the Italians should keep you safe(they may talk lots of crap, but won't actually do anything). Now your family is another story, better check with them before bringing her!

Well, there will always be divisions. You cannot remove them by simply marring someone and hoping that it will go away. This is because people do not change their lifestyle and behavior. Every group keeps their own. Since you know the consequences of how other people react and you also know that kids of the mixed couple with a black parent will always be called black, whicjh is fine for some and not fine for some.
You have to make the decision about marrying a black person. No one else can make that for you.

wow...that is a hard one. Italians dont understand their hertiage or they would not dislike blacks. Generally ...you will probably have alot of resistance dating a black woman because of the world's view on african americans...I think as long as she is intelligent and smart knows where she is going in her life and is more than comfortable being african american you will have no problem taking her anywhere. Society will have something to say if your woman was Italian but from the wrong family..ya know. Hope this helps. You have to be comfortable this is your life.

You may have problems, or you may not. The real question is, are you prepared for them? I'm a black woman who is married to a half white/half mexican man, and we've only encountered a few problems. It doesn't really bother me, but I've had to stop him from beating up a few people! If you're comfortable in your relationship, then all that matters is how you feel about each other.

i am black and i married a white woman. yes, we have had our problems, mostly because of our color. the thing is, i love my wife and that is all that matters to me. she has nothing to prove to any of those people except that she loves me and i am the same way. my family tried to break us apart and we wasnt having it. i will not leave my wife because of what people say or have said.
society is still really messed up. i dont know why people have a hard time with interacial relationships and marriages. some people like me couldnt find true love in a relationship where they were dating in their same race. i did find it in my wife i have now. people are going to look at you weird and maybe talk about you, but if you really love her you will shake it off and move on knowing that you love your wife no matter what anyone has to say about it.

Uuumm I hope that was a spelling era. Correction: blacks like whites, but whites hate Blacks!
Anyway, marry who you love. If you marry based on what someone else tells you is best for you, you will be living a lie and your life will be miserable. One thing that you have to remember is that you cant change the world and all the racism that's in it. The only person you can control is yourself. Don't bring your Black woman around people who you feel or know to be racist. That could turn into a traumatic experience for her. I know how it feels because I am Black and I had a mixed boyfriend who was Black & white. He always wanted me to come over where him & his white friends were and I hated going over ther because they treated me waaayy different than the white girls who would be over there.
They would hang up on me when I called for him and say smartass remarks on the sly. He didnt quite undertsand and it caused us to break up for a long while. Dont force intergration on people. Trust me. If you decide to travel to Italy with your woman then do it. But you both need to be mentally strong and ready for whatever may happen. But follow your heart & mind. That's your life and you dont have to please any one but yourself and your wife. :)

Not all Italians hate blacks. Not all blacks like Italians. Not all whites like blacks. Not all blacks don't like whites. Italians are Caucasian as is the rest of Europe. That part makes even less sense.
Mostly, if you're not engaged or married now I wouldn't worry about it until you find the right person.

The question is why do you really want to date a black/hispanic woman ??? Is it to just rebel against your family ??? If so, grow up these women are not your guinea pigs for social acceptance. If not, let your family know that this is the person you have chosen to spend the rest of your life with and they can accept it or don't, but they will need to respect your relationship.

Not really .... This is your choice... The main ones that may have a problem will and may be the children because of the issues of the reaces and predjudiced people.... This is totally your choice and you should not have to take her anyway to have people think she is a prostitute or slut.

Well, you already know the social issues so you are already aware that there will be problems if you marry out of your race. Marry whomever you fall in love with but realize that you will marry her family and she will marry yours.
