how do I keep my songs as mp3 fileswhen saving them?

I download songs from limewhire as mp3 but when I save them to my library it turns into an m3u or something like that!!! I need it as and Mp3 help please!!!!!!

If you download an mp3 it should stay as an mp3 unless you convert it to wave. I have LimeWire and all my download say MP3 Format Sound.
