I don't mind the actual holidays. What annoys me is that commercialism has turned a one day holiday into a 4 month buying marathon. Why do I have to see Christmas tree displays in August competing for shelf space with the back to school items? Why is it 2 days after New Year's all the Valentine's day crap is out? It's like you never get a break from it all.

This won't win me any popularity contests, but I swear after this year I am done with X-mas. Too much hype, too many unrealistic expectations from too many people.
Maybe it's just my family, but X-mas makes me want to decamp to another country. If I were king, it would be the first thing to go.

greeting card industry created ones,like valentines day,sweetest day,lets honor every profession day...obviously these are not official holidays but seem to be more popular thern national holidays
