ability refers to a person's gained and developed skills that may serve as a great advantage. motivation is the drive that spurs a person to make use of his/her abilities. attitude is the factor that makes a person accept and realize the purpose of the motivation.
in life, one needs ability to face the situations at hand. ability serves as the person's method, a solution, that is within his/her believed limit. motivation is needed as the opportunity to make use of and test ability. attitude is important because it affects how a person responds to the situation. there may be a motivation but if a person doesn't give the appropriate attitude, the motivations loses its purpose and ability cannot be challenged and/or improved.

Abilities is your skill and talents. You want to find your abilities in one particular area of the working world so you could strive and make a healthy living wage. If you have the ability but lack the motivation, you will end up on a dead end street living with mom and dad until you are 50 years old. Attitude is what impresses people, especially bosses. You need all three to make it out there in the big, bad, cruel world.

these are all three essentially positive aspects of ones personality. and as we all know, positivity is good.
without ability. you wouldn't be very far. however without motivation you would have no abilitiy. the two tie in strongly. and without attitude, you would never react well when your days went bad.
i do think they all three tie in together quite well. good question. i like it.
