The best way to get something done... is to do it yourself. I often go to the movies or musical theatre alone. Not very many people appreciate the same things I do, and when I want to go... well, dagnabbit... I go! Never know who you'll meet there too. And its easier to make last minute plan changes, when you don't have someone else to consider. Yes, its fun to share the experience with a friend, but if I waited till some else would agree to go, I'd be sitting at home way too much.

Yes, I can and have gone alone any number of times. Having people with whom to share the experience was never a concern, especially for concerts - there is a whole hall full of people to be with! I enjoyed myself very much, no matter whether I went alone, or went with someone else.

TOTALLY!! Sometimes we drag our significant other to events they DO NOT want to attend. There are times where it's better to go with someone else, but if the concert or theater event is not appealing to them.....then it's likely the trip won't be what you're hoping it to be. So, go alone. Enjoy the atmosphere with people who are just as much into the venue as you are.

If it was something that I really had an interest in and no one wanted to go then yes I'd go alone,I've gone by myself to a theater on occasion. I find myself so in to what I'm watching that it doesn't matter if anyone is with me or not.

If I had NO one to go with me - whether it be a concert or theatre, i'd have the best time of my life & probably make new friends but still be careful on whom I meet. I'd even tell my friends how the concert or the theatre was & make them think next time that they could come with me to the show.

I can honestly say that I would go to a Bruce Springsteen [aka The BOSS] concert alone, if I had to.
Other than that, though, no. Well, maybe a sad movie.

I never have, but I would. Getting older now (45), and my wife doesn't always want to go to see the old geezers I drag her out to see -- I still go see the old timers from my youth -- Graham Parker, Echo & the Bunnymen, The Tubes -- those were the last 3 she did agree to go to -- all were excellent.
