People just give all kinds of wrong answers and advice, right?! I loved your "nopers" and "ttc." My 1st daughter was conceived when I was on the pill. I didn't take birth control ever again until late last year when my 2nd daughter was born, more than 13 years later. Yes, every woman is different, plus you've got God who can and does allow the babies to come in His time.

I know i have seen so many people on here answering saying that. I know it doesn't matter how long you were on birth control when you are trying to conceive after stopping B/C. I was on the depo shot for 3 years and once i stopping taking it i became pregnant in a year. Just not long ago i answered a question about a woman asking how long would it take to become pregnant after stopping the shot and some "woman" wrote that she may never ever conceive or be able to carry a baby because of being on the shot. I hate how people on here acts like doctors.

I totally agree. Every woman's body is different. People get pregnant while on birth control all of the time. I was told once upon a time I couldn't get pregnant because I don't ovulate on a regular basis. That I would need fertility. Even the docs can be oh so wrong. I have a beautiful two year old daughter. She was the greatest thing God could have ever given me.

I got pregnant while taking the pill. So i think it's important to take the pill as it's supposed to be taken: i decided that i didn't want a period, so i skipped the dummy pills at the end of each pack, and didn't know I was pregnant. I swear that's the reason I misscarried. My DR also said I could try again as soon as i got my periods regular again, that whole thing about it being in your system is a rumor!

People just don't understand it. I was on the patch when I became pregnant with my first child. I was using the nuva ring when i became pregnant with my second. Both are birth control methods that use low-dose hormones. Those types don't work for me obviously. My husband's step-mother is convinced that I wasn't taking them correctly. I have repeatedly told her that one birth control may work for one person but not another. Some people are stubborn when it comes to things like this. They feel that they are right and any other information they receive is false. Every woman is different, many women just don't seem to understand that.

I answer honestly on questions like that. I doesn't take me no time to conceive while on birth control. I'm too fertile for birth control. I've gotten pregnant on 4 different types used faithfully. So I tell the ladies asking, if I get pregnant "on" birth control....it's possible that it won't take them long to conceive after stopping them.

Not always. I took only one shot and it took me about two years to become pregnant. I know many people that have had this happen. You're right, everyone is different but birth control does have a negative toll on many people which is why people warn others. I wouldn't even want to risk having to wait that long to conceive a child that's why I warn. However, I also include that every one is different but it's a personal decision about risks that you are willing to take.

Haha. My doctor told me that for some people it DOES take that long, so I just assumed I would be one of those people. A few months later, I was pregnant. It definitely doesn't apply to everyone, but there are some people out there that it does apply to since I've had a few friends who have had the problem.

I think a lot of people think this because decades ago the hormone levels in the pill were so high that it stayed in your system for a long time.
Nowadays the levels are so low that you have to take them everyday or risk the chance of pregnancy.
You are correct and maybe people are either mis-informed or just un-informed.
