headache. I stopped my pills about 2 days ago. I have a 7 year old daughter( she made 7 in November). I have been on birth control since she was only a few months old. We are considering extending our family. Are the headaches normal and are there any other side effects to stopping the pill? Also, about how long would it take to get pregnant after stopping the pills?

I stopped my pill about 2 months ago and and the first 2 weeks I had small headaches which is unusual for me cause I normally have migraines and then I had an upset stomach and alot of flu like symptoms, so yes your headaches are common from what I have read and then the getting pregnant part all just depends on your body, good luck.

You should consider yourself unprotected as soon as you stop taking the pill. The headaches are one of the side effects of stopping the pill, especiall after having taken it for so long.

I also just stopped taking the pill after years of use. I had a major headache like 1 week later but didn't know why and it is unusual so now I know . Thanks.

I don't know about the headache. Try taking tylenol or advil and see if that helps. They say that it takes about 3 months after being off the pill.

I was told any where from a month to a year. It depends on how long you have been taken the pill. I am sure if you spoke to your doctor he could give you more information.
