How would a starting salary be found out on a store that will soon open? There is no number to call and the only way to apply is online.

Look at the salaries of people who work at similar stores in jobs similar to the one you are looking at.

You can probably expect a starting base salary around $55k. Of course total compensation would be higher to reflect the value of benefits, bonus, etc. Total compensation considering at 10% bonus opportunity and an estimated cost of a full insurance package around $7k could be approximately $67k. If you're looking for something in the Northeast Region, the best state or metro area to look at there would be in Philly. This is primarily because the cost of living index there is comparable to the National Cost of living index. Naturally areas with higher indices probably warrant a slightly higher starting salary to make up for the imbalance. I recommend that you look for salary data for a smaller specific area. It may give you a better idea of how to negotiate your market worth.

You will not know what they are willing to pay. When you put your application it, state your minimum salary. If they call you, you will have a salary that you can live with.

i would contact the corporate office and ask them if they have salary ranges available for different positions. many times they can tell you a low, middle and high number for the position you are applying for.

are there other stores like it? if so ask around there, if not apply on line and see what happens, I'm sure you'll still have to interview and if you don't like what their offering then kindly tell them this job isn't for you, it's also great practice to sit through actual interviews, just make sure you critique the strengths and weaknesses of your interview

Most stores will pay minimum wage (which depends where you live) and you should have bonuses or % depending on the sales you make. Good luck!
