It's fun at first and you can enjoy it, but after some time you get bored and want more. It's a good way to start though if you don't exactly want to have sex then do it over the phone and slowly get into it, if you know what i mean.

I've done it and i think phone sex can be great with a cool person on the other end

It can be fun if your away from a person for awhile, usually when it's happened with me it wasn't really planned but grew more out of "if i was there right now..." or "what are you wearing right now.."
