I tested with an ANSWER pregnancy test a full seven days before my period was even due. Really i just took it to be taken it cause i had it left over from the month before (2-in-1 box) because my husband and i had been trying for the last 10 months so i figured it would be negative but when i took the test and laid it down on the sink before i could pull my pants up the test was positive (Too much info sorry)!!!
So i thought to myself maybe this test is lying to me so i bought another one that same night (Clearblue easy) and it was positive too. I have never had a pregnancy test be wrong so far from any kind of brand whether it cost a dollar or 20 dollars.
I only have one child but there has been times when i thought i was pregnant. Good luck

I personally liked Fact Plus. It was always very accurate when I tested for pregnancy. The technology has gotten even better since I had my last child over 3 years ago.

The early detection tests are designed to be more sensitive to the presence of HCG, the pregnancy hormone.

Good luck!

Honestly, I've always had problems with them! When I first got pregnant, I used an early pregnancy test and got a negative. I used it on the first day of my missed period. I tested again 3-4 days later and got a positive, and had a baby boy months down the road. According to the box, the test should've been able to detect the pregnancy hormone a few days BEFORE my missed period. I had already missed my period and STILL got a negative. I wouldn't count on them too much.

Yes they can work, but it will depend on how much pregnancy hormone is present and how much the test needs to give a positive reading. They have worked fine in 2 out of 3 of my pregnancies and the third I did one just before my missed period that came up negative but came up positive 3 days later when I tried again.

If you read the test it is 'early' because it can detect the pregnancy hormone a few days before other pregnancy tests. You probably won't get an accurate result until a couple weeks after conception.

now days all the urine tests pretty much are the same. How early are you testing???? usually you can test like 3 or 4 days before you miss your period but I would just wait because if you test and it comes back negative, depending on weather you want to be or not it can either give you false happiness or disappointment because it may come back positive in a few days later...my advice....just wait till you miss your period. Hope it goes ok for you!

it takes about two or three weeks for the home ones to work. The best is go to the doctors. If you want to know like a week after. I say this because my husband and I bought all the home test and took them. They all came back negative. I went to the doctors a couple days later and I was pregnant. I was about 7 wks along.

I used a cheap off brand. Didn't want to waste the money if I wasn't. I bought it at the dollar store. I was only 14 days along and it detected it. Of course I went expensive just to be sure.

I tried several, but i liek the dollar general kind, for one they are cheap expecialy if you like to take more than one to make sure lol second they detect a lesser amt of hormone than most of the others good luck if this is a wanted pregancy.
