I'm scared of the dark so I sleep with the lights on. But my friends don't know that I'm scared of the dark, if they knew, they probably would made fun of me.... Also, when people talk about someone had died, It's hard for me to sleep. But in the day time, I'm not scared. How can I get over these night fears?

I used to face the same issues as well. Guess coz night times are depicted in movies in an evil manner always. Take it for something bad to happen, it will be at nite. So this could have affected us psychologically. Sadly the remedy is within your ownself. I had to keep telling myself to be brave and to grow up. Now i can sleep in complete darkness. Your mind controls everything.

When I was a young child my older siblings would tell me that the boogy-man was going to get me if I didn't go to sleep. I grew up being afraid of the dark. Early in my marriage when my husband would travel I would get freaked out being alone at night.
I cured my self of night fright...How ? I talked and talked about my fear with "safe people". I took away it's power over me. The more I talked about it the more my fears diminished. Now when my husband leaves on a business trip I sleep like a baby and I live on the side of a mountain !

This probably due to a fear of maybe not being safe at night? If so give your self more comfort by getting a house alarm, sleep with a flashlight, or listen to a ipod while you sleep, or if you want to cover your fear up get a lightshow pug in(the scented ones from Tv). Basically find creative ways to LIght up your room at night!!! For me, I sleep with the Tv on!

Wow what I think you should do is try yourself real hard, meaning that one night you have to try sleeping with the lights off. While you're doing that, keep your mind off anything scary and or anything that might anticipate fear. And sometime what you can do is try to take your mind off of those type of things and either fantasize about somethings that you want and or think about things that happened throughout your day and so on.

Don't focus on those things. Focus on your hopes and dreams. Positive things. Don't listen to what upsets you. If you hear it being broughten up, Excuse yourself. Close your ears. Whatever you need to do. It's not worth the time spent being upset, so you may as well live life the way you wish to. Spend a lot of time focusing on your hopes and dreams. Then tend to manifest more readily when you do so.

i think of it relies upon on even in the adventure that your on my own or no longer. reasons why Las Vegas isn't frightening at night is beause there are such diverse human beings working around which you in no way experience threatened. on the different hand, a wooded area at night could be terrifying, because you're susceptible to unseen predators. all of it boils all the way down to secure practices in numbers.

it must be so frightening being afraid of the dark. I feel for you. as far as dead people go, I had to go to my first wake today for my first dad's second wife and I cried twice. dead people look really peaceful like at last they found some peace so you can look at it like that.
