The rate of growth of fry depends on which specie they are,and your skill in providing clean water and wholesome foods. All the good foods in the world won't help fish grow in dirty water, and clean water doesn't contain much in the way of nutrition. Some discus fish breeders do 100% water changes every day,and the fish thrive.(Not that raising a few fry in a small tank needs this extreme level of care.) But quickly growing out fry is a whole new set of problems, like large quantities of food(so the fry eat as much as possible) foul the water very quickly. All that being said,if you learn how to grow fry you will be a much better fish keeper, and its' really rewarding when you get it working.Hope this helps. PeeTee

What species of fish r u talking about, u should mention the name of fish; they are different growing rate for different species of fish. You sound like you have livebearer's fry (guppy, swordtail, mollies), if so then they will grow to their full size within 2 months. (If provide them quality food and sufficient space)

some weeks likely, perchance in basic terms over a month. they in common words should be sufficiently enormous to no longer slot interior the mothers and fathers' mouths. also, make confident they are too large to slot into the clear out so that they don't get sucked up!

a couple weeks before they are big enough to fit in momma's mouth..a few months before they are near adult size. be cautious about putting them back when they are still small as mom or others may chase them & nibble them to death
