The first thing to do sweetie, is to take a few deep breaths...after you've done that, address whatever the problem is....if they are not cooperating for some unknown reason, try to find out why. Do not bargain with them however; that just makes them worse in the future. If you find out what the problem is, execute a plan that helps them, but shows them that you are the parent, and you're in charge. In other words, don't go soft on them; they'll only use that against you in the future.

If they don't tell you whats going on, find a way to make them talk, without resorting to violence(unless you're sure that that is the best thing to do).

If its just an average day "they're driving me crazy" situation, suggest that they do some activity that keeps them quiet, and focused. Watch an educational movie, or t.v. program. Play outside, or do homework. The most important thing for you, is that you don't let them get to you, because they can use that in the future. Hope I helped sweets!

Are you going insane? The definition of insanity is repeating the same thimg over and over expecting different results. Whatever you're doing now sweetie, you need to do a roundabout. If your kids drive you nuts, then they are in control. Get a grip. (or I'll call Dr. Phil and he'll put a camera in ur house! LOLOL) Then he'll tongue lash ya like an unwanted stepchild!

BUY EAR PLUGS!
trust me they work a miracle, because when kids figure out that you CAN actually ignore them...they begin to do things by themselves!
they leave you alone because they aren't getting what they want. (your last nerve!)
Plus it's really nice to be able to turn their(kids) volume down and tune them out when you need to.

depends on their age?

I used to do everything when my kids were still young, I was just a child myself, started very young... but I played everything with them, biking, rollerblading, movies, parks, malls, ... you have to do it with them and make it fun, and it will tire them out, and go to bed.
