What are the correct margin settings for subbmitting a novel to a publisher for review. I am working in word. Any tips on how to set the margins would be appreciated.

most of the publisher i know requires double spacing. as least for us here in our country. i am also working on a novel right now. the publisher said, double spacing is needed.

You always want to double space. Guidelines differ from one publisher to the next. You might want to surf around the web. the best place i know: Writer's Market. You can easily find a copy at the Barnes and Noble books or Hopely at your library, it has details to many publishers plus helps beginners. also writer market on line at:

1" is good, though up to 1.25" is OK. See below for a more complete list of guidelines, including word count.
