Does your dog seem to know when you are feeling down? Do their sweet kisses give you comfort?

I work in palliative care and I see such a change in my patients when the therapist brings in the dogs or cats. Blood pressures stabilize, people that have not spoken in a while say something and smile. patients reach out to touch these furry little angels. Animals have a greater sense then we as humans will ever fathom. I have had dogs my entire life and when I am having a bad day or in bed sick they never leave my side. I have a dog now who actually comes up to me and puts his arms around me (the best he can), they are the most unselfish creatures and I am blessed with six of them.
