summer trip...?

Well ive got to decide where to go for my senior trip..and i was wanting to know some good places. i dont want to go to far..maybe cancun or something..or even somewhere tropical thats still in the united states so my friends dont have to worry about passports and what not

any ideas?

road trip to visit historic war sites (US EAST) and end in Big Apple NY for shopping
