15-2n = 17-3n
15-2n+2n = 17-3n+2n
15 = 17-n
15-17 = 17-n-17
-2 = -n
-2(-1) = -n(-1)
n=2

5+6n = (-13)+2n
5+6n-2n = (-13)+2n-2n
5+4n = -13
5+4n-5 = -13-5
4n = -18
n = -18/4 or -9/2

15-2n = 17-3n

place like terms on same side of equation (change sign
when moving term to other side of equal sign)

(+3n) - 2n = 17 (-15)

simplify

1n = 2

n = 2

5 + 6n = (-13) + 2n

(-2n) + 6n = -13 (-5)

4n = -18

n = - 18/4

15 - 2n = 17 - 3n

15 - 2n + 3n = 17 -3n + 3n
15 + n = 17
15 - 15 + n = 17 - 15
n = 2
