Did you had a bad past experiences with mice when you were a child? Maybe it remind you of past fearful experiences. Or it was coded in your brain to fear and avoid mice at all cost while loving snakes.

hi there
if ur thinking on getting a snake buy the frozen ones at lease they are dead ... my mom has the same fear it's something to do about the long tails...but she has no problems with snakes...just mice and rats....I'm guessing it the saying mice and rats bring deceases... like from the older days...typhoid fever i think thats what it called.... its from the droppings and flea's of rodents....

i have a phobia of roaches ... and one of our beardies bought it as a juvenile the person fed roaches to her...at first were having a problem changing her over to crickets... but she taken them..

You must be a snake yourself. Snakes must eat those things because they're afraid of them. Best I can come up with.

Are you afraid of them even while looking at them in cages where they cant get to you? I can understand getting freaked out by one running across the floor in your house and it startling you. One time I went to make coffee and I was reaching for the coffee filters and a tree frog was sitting on them and I screamed like a little kid and dropped the coffee can on the floor and scared the crap out of that poor little frog. Not expecting it to be there it really freaked me out but I'm not actually afraid of frogs.

I am not afraid of any of those things, but I could pass out with fear over a spider.

Just look at their tails, and then think of them as snakes with legs . . .
