Is his conduct unprofessional?

Thus guy I know has given me tutoring lessons, and he's always asking me if I would like to sign up for more, but I told him I was going through financail difficualty and couldn't so he offered free sessions, but I never took advantage but what was weird was the fact that he txt messaged me last night at 12:00 midnight asking me if I wanted to sign up for more tutoring sessions and I told him I didn;t know, and he was like well let me know when you have an hour free...Does anyone thinks thats sort of weird..? And what do you think his agenda might be?

Oh yeah..BTW, he told me that he found me to be very attractive, and that he would love to be my friend.

Trust your instincts. It seems as though you know to keep your distance from him. A midnight text message is questionable.

I hope you understand the difference between tutoring and "tutoring". Can't tell much from a text other than the time, but you should be able to tell which one he is referring to when he speaks to you by taking note of his tone of voice.

And yes, you might considering it "unprofessional". The thing is, tutoring has always been so informal and hands-on (unless through an agency) that professionalism is basically nonexistent.

Yes, text messaging you at midnight is rather creepy. If he's tutoring you on how to feel uncomfortable, you're getting your money's worth! I'd find another tutor.
