This may sound silly, but which season do they nominate for awards? For example, "24" is in it's 6th season now. But it's not complete... Or is it? Do they judge a season we are yet to see? How does it work?
Thanks.

No, they were judged on the previous season, season 5.

It's just like how they nominate movies that have already come out. You can only judge things that have been seen by people. The whole 6th season of 24 hasn't even been filmed yet.
