No more discussion groups, opinions, just read their story and believe it. I think this is media control. What do you think?

I enjoyed responding, but the discussing groups did get pretty bad. I would like to see them come back, I just use a filter.

I think it was already being controlled by trolls. Yahoo is trying to get that control back. Sure there will be trolls on any public site, but it was really to the point where you couldn't have a discussion of any kind without some fool jumping in with a 'poopie' joke, or some other juvenille comment. I hope they DO get some discussions going again, because it had potential to be a good thing.

I think the reason for them taking it away would be because of the irresponsible answers that are often displayed, people make hasty replies without thinking or looking for other news sources to support their idea's they just blast off their replies or comments without fully looking into the matter. I believe I'd do the same thing, abuse the priviledge and it's removed.

Unfortunately, too many people posted things that were racist, stupid, way off-topic, etc. They can do what they want. Anyway, there are plenty of other places to discuss news of the day, including on Yahoo! (Think we're on one of those now.)
