A speech to your class? Humm...well, these are people you know, probably for several years. Why be afraid of them? Think of it as just talking or giving info to your best buddies. The more tense or nervous you are, the more they'll snicker and embarras you. So, turn the tables on them.... pick out one face in the class... and look out over the room and talk to them.. the one or two that would never under any circumstances ever bother you. The more confident you are, the more you'll impress them.
Good Luck!

Oh boy. I feel your pain! I hate public speaking but unfortunately I must do it fairly frequently at work.
This probably isn't what you want to hear but he best way to get rid of stage fright is practice. The more you do it, the less scary it will seem.
So practice practice practice your speech in front of the mirror, in front of a friend, parent etc. Anyone who will listen to you! The more familiar you are with your subject matter, the more confident you will appear. I can't stress enough that knowing your subject matter is key.
The other thing I always seem to forget, beleive it or not, is breathing. Sometimes I try to race through a sentence or two, run out of breath and then get all jumbled up. Speak slowly and clearly, breathing steadily.
You will be fine. Beleive it or not, your audience probably won't have any idea how nervous your are.
Just think about how great you're going to feel after it's over! Plan to do something fun after to celebrate!
Good luck!!!

Have good cognitive thoughts. Think positively about yourself, and prepare for your speech by residing the main points about your speech in your head. Try not to memorize the speech. Just give a good conversation but make sure you know the main points of your presentation. I recommend you start now, and don't hesitate to start preparing if you haven't. The more you hesitate the less prepared you will be for your speech. Remember that you're putting the highest expectation on yourself more than any other student and perhaps even the teacher. I don't think anyone is really worried about your speech in two days but you. So take it easy kid. Realize that time will fly during the time you're up there. And finally, it'll be just another day in class. The world will not end.

the first advice i would give you is breath, breath and more breath. practice breathing. the second advice I have heard how Churchill did it --yes sir, he
imagined all those people in front of him to be naked -- naked people are less powerful than clothed people. imagine that. last but not least --if you do live near the sea...go to the seaside and listen to the waves....then talk back --give your speech while the waves roar back....it is an excellent way practiced by top politicians I am told. hope it helps -- for the best, of course.

Try this. When you're standing in front of the class. close your eyes for just a couple of seconds, and when you open them picture the people in your audience naked, That might calm you down and even give you a chuckle.

I was told that if you are nervous about getting in front of a crowd, just pretend everyone is in their underwear. Hope that helps and good luck.

Just remember that most, if not all are just as afraid as you are. You must not let the fear take the best of you. You are strong, nothing can bring you down.
